Premium Specialty & Commercial Arabica Coffees from Kenya

At Elisa Exporters, we source and export exceptional Kenyan Arabica coffees from the country’s most celebrated coffee-growing regions. Since 2006, we have partnered with cooperative societies, estates, mills, and smallholder farmers across Kenya to deliver coffees that are globally recognized for their vibrant acidity, refined sweetness, and distinctive fruit-forward cup profiles. Every coffee we export reflects the richness of Kenya’s volcanic soils, high-altitude growing conditions, and meticulous washed processing methods. Our coffees are fully traceable and carefully selected through strict quality evaluation protocols to meet the expectations of specialty roasters, importers, and green coffee buyers worldwide.

Kenyan coffee stands out globally due to its bright wine-like acidity, full body with a clean finish, complex fruit characteristics, exceptional sweetness, consistent cup quality, and high-density beans cultivated at elevated altitudes. Most Kenyan Arabica is grown between 1,400 and 2,200 meters above sea level in fertile volcanic soils found around Mount Kenya, the Aberdare Ranges, Mount Elgon, Kisii Highlands, and the Rift Valley regions. The dominant coffee varieties cultivated in these regions include SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, and Batian, all of which contribute to Kenya’s reputation for producing some of the most distinctive and high-quality coffees in the world.

OUR COFFEE GRADES

Elisa Exporters offers a range of carefully sorted Kenyan coffee grades designed to meet different market and roasting requirements. The AA grade consists of large beans known for outstanding acidity, high complexity, and full body, making it one of the most premium selections. The AB grade delivers a well-balanced cup with harmonious sweetness and acidity alongside excellent consistency. PB (Peaberry) refers to a natural single-bean mutation that produces concentrated sweetness and exceptional flavor clarity. The C grade is a commercial-grade coffee characterized by softer acidity and a medium body, suitable for broader market use. The E (Elephant Bean) grade is a rare and large bean type that offers a bold cup profile with unique depth and strong flavor expression. The TT/T grades consist of light-density beans separated during the grading process and are commonly used in blending to enhance balance and cup structure.

COFFEE PROCESSING METHODS

At Elisa Exporters, we source coffees processed through carefully controlled methods that define Kenya’s unique cup profiles. The Fully Washed (Wet Process) method is the signature Kenyan approach, involving pulping, fermentation, thorough washing, and sun-drying on raised beds, resulting in clean, bright, and highly complex coffees. The Natural Process involves drying whole coffee cherries under the sun, producing fruity, heavy-bodied coffees with pronounced sweetness and depth. The Honey Process retains part of the mucilage during drying, creating a balanced cup with enhanced sweetness, body, and layered complexity.
